During foundation week we learned about shading and how to use shading to create a variety of patterns. This was a bit tricky as we had to learn how to hold the pencil in a different way. After that, we explored the use of colour using a colour wheel. We used colouring pencils to create a pattern which progressed from light to dark. The next day, we studied an urban landscape. Following a class discussion, we created our own urban landscape using a range of drawing pencils and colouring pencils. ​
