Active Lunchtimes
At lunchtimes, there are lots of opportunities for pupils to enjoy playing together across all year groups. Older pupils take on different responsibilities and help the SMSAs by guiding and playing with younger pupils. The school benefits from a large open space including a field which is used as an extension to the playground in drier weather. Pupils enjoy playing in the different areas of the playground with each other, and using the equipment including the traversing wall, the climbing frame, the gym equipment and the monkey bars. The school also has a PlayPod which allows pupils to use their imagination when playing with recycled materials. All of these help our pupils to be as active as possible! For pupils who are less confident, a Nurture Club is run so that these pupils can build friendships and their social skills – as well as having fun together!
