The Meaningful Work Programme is a scheme that has been set up in school to promote ownership and autonomy amongst our pupils, providing them the opportunity to manage and care for an area of their school.
By participating in the Meaningful Work Programme, pupils work to support their peers and members of staff by contributing to the wider school, showing that they are on board members of the Edward Pauling team.

To become a supporting member of the Meaningful Work Programme, pupils have to complete an application for and are interviewed for the position, just as they would have to do in later life when applying for a job.
Each term, we hold an afternoon event to celebrate the hard work of these pupils and also award two pupils Employee of the Month, recognising these members’ hard work in particular.
