School Uniform

Our school uniform is a white buttoned long/short sleeve shirt with a school tie, plain black, charcoal grey or navy blue knee length uniform skirt or plain black, charcoal grey or navy blue classic uniform style, tailored straight-cut trousers.

During the Summer Term and first half of the Autumn Term, pupils can wear the 'summer uniform' which consists of a white buttoned short sleeve shirt with a school tie and grey shorts or skort and a blue and white check dress.

Pupils are not permitted to wear jewellery in our school. The exception to this rule is a plain earring ball stud. Pupils may only wear plain black, white or navy blue hair bands and clips in their hair. Light blue and check items using the pattern in the summer dress may also be worn. There are images to offer further guidance in the Uniform Policy (please see below).

On the day of their PE lesson, pupils should come to school dressed in their school PE kit (see the policy below) and may wear plain navy or black jogging bottoms and sweatshirt.

Please note that appropriate school shoes must be worn: if you have any questions about this, please speak to a member of the team. Appendix 2 of the policy has further guidance regarding shoes.

Please see the policy below for further details.

Many members of the public and visitors to the school comment on how smart the children of Edward Pauling Primary School look. Please help us to maintain this high standard of uniform by ensuring that your child wears the correct school uniform.

The school has sought to ensure that the cost of uniform is kept as low as possible with the majority of items being without the school logo: many items can be bought from the local supermarkets including Asda and Tesco. We also welcome any good quality secondhand uniform donations that we can pass on to other pupils. This can be handed in to the school office.

The London Borough of Hounslow provides an annual uniform grant to parents and carers in receipt of certain benefits. To find out more, please visit https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/info/20025/schools_and_colleges/1084/school_clothing_grants_-_secondary_and_primary

We would encourage parents and carers to contact the school if they have any difficulties with buying uniform or have any queries that we can help to answer about uniform items.
