The school has a kitchen on site where all school lunches are prepared by Chartwells, our caterer, whose menu adheres to the school food standards.
The menu includes daily choices for a hot meal and, in addition to the items on the daily menu, bread, fruit and a salad bar are all available to pupils. Pupils are asked on arrival at school for their choice: we ask that parents and carers look at the menu with their child in advance.
As parents and carers will be aware, all Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils receive a free school meal under the Universal Free School Meal scheme. The Mayor of London has also introduced a scheme for all Key Stage 2 pupils to receive a free school meal currently.
We ask all parents and carers in Reception - Year 6 who are in receipt of certain benefits to also check their child's eligibility for the Pupil Premium Grant by completing details on the London Borough of Hounslow website at https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/info/20025/schools_and_colleges/61/free_school_meals
Where pupils are eligible, this will also mean that parents and carers receive food vouchers and vouchers from the Holidays Activities Fund (HAF) giving access to activities during the school holidays. In addition, the school receives some additional funding to support pupils in school. If you have any questions about this, please speak with a member of the office team.
For pupils in Nursery, we ask parents and carers to confirm key information to us to confirm whether pupils are eligible for the Early Years Pupil Premium which comes to the school to support the needs of those eligible pupils.
