Day 4 of Summer Camp

Day 3 of Summer Camp!

On day 2 of Summer Camp we went to the Natural History Museum in London.

On day 1 at Summer Camp, we went bowling!

Year 6 had their end of year 6 school disco!

Congratulations to Year 6 who performed an outstanding end of year production of 'Oliver'.

The school choir performed a beautiful medley on songs to their friends and families.

The Happy Puzzle Company worked with the pupils to challenge them in both maths and Science. There was also a Parent Workshops where parents worked with their children to solve puzzles!

For 'Walk to School' week, we had a special visitor called Debra the Zebra who spoke to the children about the benefits of walking to school!

During Sports Month, Year 3 have been learning how to play rounders

Well done to Topaz Class for their outstanding assembly!

In year six we have been researching animals and their habitats, how animals have addapted to living in the rainforest, why the rainforest is important to us and how/why we should protect it.

In Year 4 we have been learning about the sounds we might hear in the Amazon rainforest!

In Year 5, we have been researching animals that live in the Amazon River to write non-chronological reports and we have been researching the dangers that the Amazon Rainforest faces and writing persuasive pieces of writing to help save it.

This week in Drama club we performed our own narrative based on the word 'Rainbow'. Congratulations to Yammi who won 'Performance of the week'.

This week in Drama Club we re-inacted the story "We're going on a bear hunt". Well done to Jordan who won 'Performance of the week'.

This week at Drama Club we created our own news stories. Well done to Sophia who won 'performance of the week'.

In Year 3 we made a time capsule and created personal objects that were special to us using clay. We then painted our objects and wrote a letter to our future-selves! We are going to bury our time capsule and open it up in years to come.

This week in Drama Club we were looking at staging and how our position on the stage can enhance our performances of 'The Three Little bears'. Chloe won our performance of the week award with her performance of Goldilocks.

Year 5 were visited by a Fireman this week who taught us all about how to prevent fires in our homes.. We were shocked by some of the items in our homes that can cause fire! As a result of this talk, we have all planned to go home and make a fire safety plan with our families.

This morning we all had a healthy breakfast which marked the start of Healthy Living Day at our school! Parents and children were able to enjoy a breakfast together.

Year 2 were visited by the London Fire Service today! We learned all about how to stay safe in the event of a fire in our homes, and what to do if we find a fire. We also found out about what fire alarms are important and how they can save lives.

Indigo Class visited the Nursery to read with them. The Nursery children picked a book and read it with their buddy!

Magenta Class created a very very long paper chain! wow! It reached a huge 73 metres!

Christmas Hair Day at Edward Pauling! We love Christmas!

Today, Mickaela Richards from the Invictus Games visited our school and presented 3 pupils who had 100% attendance this half term with a brand new bike!

Nursery performed their Christmas Concert for the school!

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 performed a beautiful Nativity for the family and friends of Edward Pauling.

Lilac Class performed an amazing assembly all about Dinosaurs! Well done Year 3!

In Year 3 in Science we learned about food chains. We learned about producers and consumers and the difference between them. We went outside to create our own food chains!

Year 6 visited the British Museum

Every Friday, Year 5 come down to year 1and listen to them read.

Indigo Class performed a great assembly today! Well done all!

Year 5 and 6 went to Brentord Sports day! They came an impressive 5th out of 50 schools! Well done!

Our creative curriculum World War 2 displays

In year 3 we have been learning about World War 2. We used Laptops and books to research The Blitz. In Maths we learnt about rationing, we used our knowledge of division to ration and make jam sandwiches. We constructed famous well known London buildings that were destroyed during The Blitz. We have also thought about all of the children that were evacuated during the war, and the emotions that they went through.

Aqua performed an amazing assembly on the jobs we do!

In Year 6 we have begun our creative week by identifying the countries involved in WW2 and whether they were Britain's allies or enemies. We used atlases to locate their whereabouts and labelled them on a world map using a key.

Turquoise Class performed an exceptional assembly!

In literacy, Year 2 are going to write a diary entry from the point of view of Robin Hood. Today, they retold the story of Robin Hood using their drama skills.
